OMG: Forums - they still exist

Yes, the forums do still exist. Some of us (not many) even get notifications when someone posts so that we actually look at them! They are mostly used for archival knowledge these days with almost all of the day to day over on Discord. As to Null-sec - it still exists :-P A ton has changed, both good and bad. Worse thing is that at the large scale, there are really only 2 major powers - Goons and their allies and their still mostly an ally INIT (vastly the largest) and then a coalition that exists mostly because if it didn't, Goons could crush any one of the members: Panfam + WinterCo (the major alliances in that are NCdot, Pandemic Legion, Pandemic Horde, Fraternity). There are actually a lot of smaller/medium sized alliances in null-sec and can do their thing and fight local wars etc. They just can't stop Goons, Pandemic Horde, or Fraternity if those alliances decide to burn them down/take their space just due to sheer size. At least at the moment INIT isn't actively supporting Goon stuff (but isn't Shooting Goons either - though will shoot Goon allies), and PanFam (PL + NCdot, + PH) and WInterCo (Fraternity and its allies) are neutral but avoid invading each other.

On that very note - Goons are currently moving their home region to the region right on the border of where PanFAM lives (Drones). So expecting a major invasion to happen once they get all their move logistics sorted out.

Anyway - way too much for a forum post and Tar-Palantir's massive essay writing days are mostly gone (lack of time), but happy to see any old Evolution folks on Evolution Discord.

Evolution has not! We have killed stuff, of course. Burned down the North central/west a year or two ago (can't even remember which year that was) and have purged Catch at least once (but no longer - Goons moved there as their home region in 2024). Send you a mail.

Yep, the forums still exist. Pretty quiet place, but they are still around. There are still IRC rooms, but they are mostly abandonned. We moved over to using DIscord around 2018 maybe? If you login to Eve, you can send Eve mail to TarPalantir I . Or on IRC if you get connected to the old channels you can poke splinter as he is still active and still connects to IRC. Tar-Palantir will also leave himself logged into IRC some in the next few days and you can poke him there.
